Why use CBD for skincare?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of the dozens of chemical compounds found in Cannabis plants that have been shown to offer beneficial effects. The body has an endocannabinoid system that works to balance many processes in our bodies, one of which being the skin. Some research suggests that imbalances of this system may be linked to the occurrence of common skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, making CBD and other cannabinoids of great interest for developing targeted therapies.

What is CBD?

CBD (known as cannabidiol) together with THC are the primary active ingredients of cannabis. The major difference between THC and CBD is that CBD won’t get you “high”, it is the non-intoxicating component of marijuana. CBD is extracted from the flowers, stalks, leaves or stems of the plant.

3 Different Forms Of CBD

  • CBD ISOLATE

CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD. Meaning, there is no interference of other cannabis compounds such as flavonoids, terpenes, and of course THC. CBD isolate is also refined, so it has no discernible taste or odor.

    FULL SPECTRUM CBD

Full Spectrum CBD uses the entire hemp plant. Included with the CBD there are trace amounts of THC, other cannabinoids and antioxidant compounds.

    BROAD SPECTRUM CBD

Broad spectrum CBD means no THC is detectable. Trace amounts of THC can be detected in full spectrum CBD, but must fall below 0.3% in order to not be considered active
